Wesley Martin..........


Wesley Martin, a well known Wilson Hollow, Downsville man, who
for many years was intimately connected with the Roundup Ranch,
died Sunday, Sept. 29, 1996 in St. Peter's Hospital, Albany.

Born on May 22, 1924 in Paterson, NJ, he was the son of Fred and
Ethel O'Dell Martin.  He married Florence Mae Noble in Patterson
on May 4, 1946.

Mr. Martin will be well remembered in his role as assistant manager of
the Roundup Ranch, a position which he held for 32 years.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army Air Force, serving from
1943-1946.  He had been a member of the Downsville Lions Club
and was noted for his work with horses.  He also devoted a great deal
of time to 4-H and other organizations.

Surviving Mr. Martin, besides his wife at home, are a son Wesley
Martin of Downsville, four daughters, Joyce Skiff of Walton, Ethel
Frein of Phillip, SD, Florence Hale of Downsville and Lori Martin of
Stillwater; a brother, Charles Cooper of Dade City, FL; a sister
Florence Sheilds of Sparta, NJ; ans six grandchildren.  He was
predeceased by a brother, Fred Martin and sister, Ruth Lewis.

Funeral Services will be Friday, Oct 4th at 2 P.M.  at the Colchester
Community Church with Pastor Maybelle Renzi officiating.  Friends
may call at the Knorr Funeral Home on Thursday, Oct 3 from 7-9
P.M. when the family will be in attendance.
